Time is money.
It is fair especially concerning contemporary business. Every minute which is spent on working within the confines of perspective project, has all the chances to bring profit to your company.
Nowadays, you can hardly find a company which is conducting business projects one by one, and starts a new project after finishing the previous, especially in the sphere of information technologies.
Most often company’s managers prefer to lead and monitor two or more projects for various customers simultaneously.
How can it be possible for successful organizations to manage several projects at the same time and gain profit from this?
Tip #1 Plan Tasks for the Day Ahead of Time.
It is necessary to plan tasks for the day ahead.
If a manager will carefully plan the work of his organization, he will see how much time and resources each task will require.
Try to remember that long-term planning is also significant, and it will be better if a project manager will work out the plan for the week and even for the month ahead.
If there will be some unscheduled tasks, it will be easier to include those tasks in the general plan.
Moreover, careful planning allows both manager and employees to feel calmer and more confident during the workflow, because tasks are defined and there is no indeterminacy.
Tip #2 Create a List of Tasks for Project Management
In order to manage and monitor workflow within the confines of several projects, it is better to create a list of tasks or even utilize the special software for project management.
Such task management software allows a project manager to monitor the efficiency and deadlines of every task. There will be no confusion with documents which belong to different projects, because each project will be described separately in such program.
Tip #3 Place Tasks in Chronological Order
It will be easier for employees to cope with tasks within every project if they will be put in the order in concordance with their urgency.
It will be likewise easier to single out priority tasks and to concentrate the efforts on their implementation. If some jobs will require hiring more specialists for their implementation by the required deadline, it can be also easily defined by a project manager according to the special priority list.
Your workflow automation application will carefully reflect all the processes within each project in the convenient form, so every participant of the project team will see which duties he is responsible for and by what time the job should be finished.
Following these practical tips will help each project manager to make working on the project an interesting, effective and profitable business.
